Pre-Casa
16 months to 2.5 years
Pre-Casa classrooms are designed to meet the developmental needs of the very young child and to support the child’s natural growth.
These young students need to move and to explore everything in an environment where we can trust that they will be safe. The children begin to learn patience and start to collaborate when performing activities like caring for the plants, washing up spills and setting a table.
Children in the Montessori environment develop spontaneously and naturally. Our Montessori curriculum supports the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of each child. Toddlers develop speech and language skills and build both fine and gross motor skills as they explore self, family, and the world in which they live.
Our Pre-Casa program prepares children for Casa, preschool work, by exposing them to each area of the curriculum. The toddlers learn concentration, coordination, language skills, responsibility, and respect—all of which prepare them for a successful transition into the Casa program. Reinforcing the importance of verbal communication, speaking clearly, and supporting the child’s expanding vocabulary are paramount in the toddler environment.
